Operating Room / Delivery Room
The Operating Room and Delivery Room Department of New Sinai MDI Hospital is located on the 2nd floor of the Main Hospital Building and serves as a vital area for surgical services within the institution. The department performs a wide variety of surgical, obstetrical, and gynecological procedures for both elective and emergency cases. It is a technologically advanced center that delivers high-quality healthcare services to the community. The unit is staffed by highly skilled health professionals and competent support personnel who ensure that high standards of nursing care and patient safety are consistently maintained. Through a coordinated multidisciplinary approach, the department provides safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical management.
The department comprises three major operating theaters, including the OB-Gynecology Theater, the Ambulatory Surgical Clinic, and the General Surgery Theater, as well as one Endoscopy Unit and one Minor Operating Room to accommodate various surgical procedures. In addition, it has two Delivery Room beds capable of handling both deliveries and minor obstetrical procedures. The High Risk Pregnancy Unit provides specialized care for patients experiencing complications or medical conditions that increase the risk during pregnancy. This unit is equipped with advanced monitoring and staffed by skilled maternal-fetal specialists to ensure the safety of both mother and baby.
These facilities allow the department to provide comprehensive perioperative care to patients requiring different levels of surgical intervention. The Operating Room team works collaboratively to ensure that all procedures are performed in accordance with established surgical and infection control standards.
